Emergency / Disaster Response
CCI’s emergency response program ensures clients of the quickest and most cost-effective means for handling their emergencies. Our integrated team of administrative and field personnel can be mobilized quickly to provide competent response to any hazardous material situation, no matter how large or small.
CCI provides experienced and well-equipment response teams to spill scenes for management of virtually any type of spill. From oil spills on rivers to the oceans on the east, west, and southern coastlines. CCI also responds to herbicide/pesticide/insecticide spills in factories that produce liquid chemicals for farm and lawn use, as well as PCB or non-PCB transformer oil resulting from leaks/spills.
U.s. Coast guard osro classification
CCI holds a U.S. Coast Guard Oil Spill Response Organization (OSRO) classification. The U.S. Coast Guard established the OSRO classification in response to regulatory requirements set forth in the Oil Pollution Action of 1990 (OPA90) following the Exxon Valdez oil spill in 1989. OPA90 requires companies to develop and maintain plans to help prevent spills and detailed plans to contain and respond to spills that may occur.
In today’s society, there is an ever-increasing risk of exposure to pathological disease transmission. CCI employs personnel specially trained in blood borne pathogen cleanup, also referred to as Biohazards Cleanup. All removal of biological material is performed in accordance with OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. CCI has adopted that standard into our General Health and Safety Program.
CCI’s Biohazards Material Team can be accessed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year via telephone. CCI’s Biohazards Material Team works with local, state, and Federal officials in the cleanup of accidents and crime scenes.
Plant explosions, spills and fires, while rare, are not uncommon in our increasingly industrial age. In many cases these types of disasters are caused by accidental ignition of chemicals in plants. CCI’s emergency response personnel are equipped compliment fire departments and police departments when clean up begins with product/contaminant containment and recovery/disposal.
Infectious Disease and biological Response
Whether the cause is Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza, African Swine Fever, Anthrax, Ebola, COVID-19 or any other infectious disease or biological response, CCI stands ready to respond. Our team members are trained extensively in biosecurity practices and decontamination procedures and have vast experience dealing with these types of responses. We take pride in providing a high level of service to both our clients and all stakeholders in infectious disease response.
